Spermaceti
Erläuterung: lat. spermaceti, dt. Walrat; helle, wachsähnliche Substanz, die in den Stirnbeinhöhlen von Pottwalen enthalten ist. Walrat wurde früher v. a. als Salbengrundlage verwendet; daneben diente es als Zusatz u. a. zu Kerzen, Seifen, Appreturen.
